So this is the official last week of class.  I am definitely ready for graduation and am looking forward to it.  I have a job lined up with Jockey International as a Technical Analyst after graduation.  Things are going pretty well in all of my classes, my group is still having some difficulty with the team project in this class, but hopefully with any luck we will be able to pull it off for the final submission.

We're just about to start class.  I guess the only thing I really have to write about right now is the project.  Our group is having a pretty tough time getting started.  We're not really sure how to approach it.  Hopefully we will have a better understanding after todays class.

I noticed that on the professor's blog it said we should have received feedback on our term papers.  Did this come through an email? I don't think I received anything yet.

I've kind of falling behind on my blog postings each week.  I finshed up the lab 4 over the weekend.  It all went pretty well until the last page when I had to test the final product.  It took me about 15 minutes to get the final test to actually run successfully.  I went back and checked over all of steps and everything seemed to be right.  Then I thought I would check to see if I authorized everything, and of course that is what I forgot.  After authorizing everything worked like a charm.  It was kind of benificial to go back through it though and check everything out, it gave me a better sense of how the different objects work together.

I just finished up with the midterm exam so I suppose that is what I will write about.  Going into the exam I thought it was going to be extremely difficult because it was an online exam.  I'm feeling pretty confident though after taking the exam and it seems like as long as you make it to lecture you should do just fine on it.  Hopefully the same is true with the final!

I just finished up reading the Healthcare SOA article that is due this evening.  I thought it was a pretty interesting article, I found it to be more interesting then the last required reading.  I'm actually looking for jobs right now as I'm graduating at the end of this semester.  I was real interested in this article because a couple of the job opportunities I'm looking at are in hospital IT departments.  One part of the article that I thought was especially interesting was when they stated that web services were used in order to provide patient pictures, vitals, and other details to doctors remotely via a web browser.  Being that this article was written in 2005 I am curious to know if this has been adopted by most hospitals or whether it is still in development for many.

I just got done running through the XML excercise.  Everything went pretty well, it definitely helped to have Prof. Haines sample XML document already prepared.  I did have one question though.  When we were in class and Prof. Haines was going through the example he was hitting some key that showed what his possible options were in the XML document (ie. phone, email, and such) what is the key or key combo that triggers that?
